Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Abtikarat Louis Trading and Services W.L.L (CR No. 173808, P.O. Box 82409, Doha, Qatar) ("QNA-Locator", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the QNA-Locator API and website.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your company email address, company name, and mobile phone number. Your phone number is verified via SMS one-time passcode through Firebase (a Google service). We do not collect your phone number if verification is not completed.

We automatically log API usage: request timestamps, endpoint called, and daily request counts per API key, used solely to enforce your plan's rate limit and for service reliability.

If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by SkipCash, a licensed Qatar payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card details; we receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: operate your account and API access, enforce usage limits, process payments and issue invoices, respond to support requests, and comply with Qatari law, including tax and commercial record-keeping obligations under Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) regulations.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers necessary to run QNA-Locator: Firebase/Google (phone verification), SkipCash (payment processing), and our hosting provider. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

4. Data retention

We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for the period required by Qatari commercial and tax law thereafter. Daily usage logs are retained for a rolling period sufficient for billing and abuse investigation, then deleted.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address below, subject to our legal obligation to retain certain records (e.g. invoices) for the statutory period. If you are located outside Qatar, you may also have additional rights under your local law (for example, the EU/UK GDPR), which we will honor to the extent applicable to our processing of your data.

6. Security

API keys are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes, never in plain text. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all API and website traffic.

7. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Qatar.
